Peace and Greetings to you and your families,
We are thankful and blessed to be ending another year of serving our community. Your love and support this year is greatly appreciated. Together we were able to provide shelter for 28 people on their journey to permanent housing. Our guests are welcomed into our furnished apartments and immediately connected to appropriate services. They have access to weekly group and individual counseling as well as individual financial counseling. They also have access to “shop” in our office for hygiene and household items.
This year we strived to create and strengthen relationships with community partners and are always open to new connections. We are thankful for the volunteer groups that have pulled together to maintain our buildings, property, and make our programs a success.
We have recruited three AmeriCorps VISTAs and are excited they have begun their service year. We are so grateful for this opportunity and excited to have them get started and help us strengthen our capacity to serve.
We have heard several of you express an interest in receiving more updates so we are beginning our quarterly newsletter with the new year. Be sure to visit our website and sign up to receive updates.
Be on the lookout! We will be releasing our end of the year 2023 impact report in January 2024. However, a sneak peak into the year, we helped keep over 100 people safely housed with our rental assistance program, keeping families housed in their own homes and preventing them from experiencing the trauma of homelessness in the first place.
This has been a busy year focused on serving our community and reinforcing our capacity to provide quality services to all of those in need.
